The process we use is not
glass mastering (also known as CD pressing or replication). The only real
benefit to using this expensive process stemmed from not all of the older
hi-fi models being able to play CDRs – this is no longer the case. Both the
duplication process itself and playback gear has advanced so much that this
does not present an issue any more (having printed several 1,000 audio CDs
already, we can happily confirm this!). Also, gone are the times when radio
stations and record companies demand only ‘properly produced (glass
mastered) CD demos’ – heck, they’re even taking emailed mp3’s nowadays. But
if you do want to go for glass mastering, we’d be happy to pass you on to
our own contacts in the industry. Just give us a call. |
